New Clerk

Having officially been in post as the new clerk for Cradley and Storridge Parish Council for under a week I have only managed to meet a few people so far, but without exception everyone has been very welcoming. I am excited to attend my first meeting in September and have been working on updating some of the information on the website.
My background recently has been in school governance, providing support and guidance to school governors. I also do some work for the Hereford and Worcester Youth Justice Service, having spent the majority of my career in the prison service in one capacity or another.
At home I have a partner, Chris and two daughters who you may well see at some point, as I plan to show them around Cradley and Storridge.

I look forward to meeting more of you in due course and if you have any queries please feel free to email me at clerk@cradleyparishcouncil.gov.uk

Kind Regards

Kate Woods
Clerk – Cradley and Storridge Parish Council

Chairman’s report August 2018

On 4th June 2018 your council elected me to a second term as your PC Chairman.

On taking office, I addressed my fellow councillors, many of whom joined the council for the first time in January. The gist of my comments was to call upon all our councillors to pull together to create a parish council of which we can all be proud.

I feel privileged to be able to enjoy the quality of life that our two parishes offer and I will endeavour to lead your council in a positive and clear manner, in order to sustain our infrastructure and a sense of community. There is always much to do and the council can only succeed if all councillors share the work and make things happen.
I call upon all of you who care for our community to help encourage and support your parish council, in sometimes challenging endeavours.

The councils current 4-year term ends in May 2019. Councillors can then offer themselves up for re-election. It is you, the community, who will decide which of us deserves another 4-year term of office.
Thank you and long live our Cradley and Storridge communities.

Geoffrey Fielding, Chairman
